Governor Mike Huckabee Delta Rivers Nature Center

Located in Pine Bluff in the heart of Regional Park across the road from Harbor Oaks Golf Course.  The nature center is set in a nice woodland setting.  The nature center has bird feeders, a pond, and a couple gardens as well as a paved hiking trail with observation blinds.  The trail meanders through the woods and goes around and over parts of Lake Langhofer (Oxbow of the Arkansas River).  This is a good place to see water birds, woodpeckers, raptors, and woodland birds.  The best time to go would be during migration:  spring and fall, winter, and early breeding season (May-June).  Migrating warblers are easy to see as well as other migrants including thrushes and ducks.  Notable birds seen:  Canada Warbler, Blue-winged Warbler, Golden-winged Warbler, Swainson’s Thrush, Gray Catbird, Red-headed Woodpecker, Wood Duck, etc.
