Piciformes and Falconiformes

Falconiformes are the falcons and have recently been split from the hawks.  They were moved from their spot with the hawks to right between Piciformes (woodpeckers) and Passeriformes (songbirds/perching birds).  They may be moved again in the near future.  We have good representation of both in the U.S. but the falcons aren’t well represented in Arkansas.
