2013 Spring Migration Recap

This spring migration held a significant amount of warblers but was lacking in shorebirds.

Here is a list of migrants seen, since my last post 4/19/13.


  • Blue-winged Warbler
  • Tennessee Warbler
  • Yellow Warbler
  • Northern Waterthrush
  • Chestnut-sided Warbler
  • Magnolia Warbler
  • Wilson’s Warbler
  • Blackburnian Warbler
  • Bay-breasted Warbler

Other Songbird Migrants

  • Least Flycatcher
  • Willow Flycatcher
  • Scarlet Tanager
  • Rose-breasted Grosbeak
  • Bobolink

Non-Songbird Migrants

  • Lesser Yellowlegs
  • Peregrine Falcon

  • Semipalmated Plover

  • Semipalmated Sandpiper (got in FL)

  • Ovenbird (got in MO)
